We strive to provide an environment that is warm and welcoming, where children feel valued and supported not only in their learning but in their mental and emotional well being. A pupil's individual needs shape our approach and all staff work in a sensitive and flexible manner. A relational approach underpins much of what we do.
Parents play an important role in the overall well being of the pupil and as such are welcomed and valued as part of the process of learning and recovery. Parents are welcome to remain in class where there is a need to support their child.
Feedback from pupils has demonstrated that they feel safe and well supported. Parents have also been shown to feel supported and informed about their child's progress.
We strive to keep up to date with developments in mental health locally and nationally and provide pupils and parents where appropriate with information for self help and support.
